Single Mom Faces Eviction, Then Her 9-Year-Old Daughter Finds Amazing Way To Help

Young mom, Natalie Koltes was quickly approaching eviction from her Las Vegas home. She was struggling to meet ends meet while trying to pay rent every month. Rent was due and Natalie was coming to terms that she wouldn’t be able to afford it this time. Her landlord had been empathetic many times in the past, but Natalie had run out of chances.

However, Natalie wasn’t trying to account for just herself, but also for her 9-year-old daughter, Ariel.

Ariel constantly experienced her mom stressing out about paying rent. She often would find her mom packing and unpacking all their belongings in preparation of being evicted from their home of three years. Ariel feared that they would soon end up on the streets.

As Natalie was losing hope for her and her daughter, Ariel decided to take matters into her own hands. Without telling her mom, Ariel wrote a letter to FOX5 Surprise Squad and snuck it to the mailman.

“Her mind right now is on her mom and how they are gonna make rent. No 9-year-old should ever, ever should have to worry about something like that,” says FOX5 reporter Stefanie Jay.
